Melanie Pullen (born on 10.09.1975 in NY) is a photographer who probably is best known for their high fashion crime scenes. This collection consists from more than 100 images and is based on crime scene images of the NYPD and LAPD. For this series (1995-2005) Melanie Pullen took about 80 crew members including the model for each image. For a picture they took about a month to create it and devoured the entire series incredible 13 million U.S. dollars for clothing and accessories. Their pictures look like movie sets and have been inspired by cinema and photo journalism. During their investigation of crime scene photography Melanie Pullen was plagued by images of war to your statement:..
"As I grew desensitized to crime and domestic violence, I became more sensitized to images of war It was a strange phenomenon that I've explored and philosophized. I do not like violence, I have never been a dark person. I see stories and different layers to violent imagery. . I'm curious about the response people have to violent images "
